The Samosa...

Perhaps this crispy snack is so popular in india that the may not not require an introduction... Samosa comes with diffrent stuffing's generally with potato or peas, this one which we tasted at Bhagatram on Commercial street was good and tempting...

here is the recipe, if you wish to try your hands on...

Oh, yummy! They really look good and I'm going to copy the recipe down and decide whether I could ever make something like this!

Sounds great!

Bhagatram's! It brings back memories! It's not just Samosas that the shop is famous for - don't forget their Gulab Jamuns!

Not too many people know about this but during Holi they also make a special sweet called "Geeyar", a kind of crispy biggish jelebi. Absolutely mouth-watering!

Oh yummy ! Looks good. We eat samosa here every week at one of the Indian restaurant in San Jose.
Next time when I'm in Bangalore I'm not going to miss Bhagatram for sure. Do they serve Vada Pau?

Lal, thanks... I completely understand the crave! Surprisingly I do have few such items which when available I did not opt for tham that seriously and now crave for them once I am away!! e.g. Vada Pav from Mumbai tops my list.

Thanks...

Curly, it's nice to see Samosa had worldwide fan club...

Yes, Raj. Those little delicasies definitely have a global fan club! :)
I've forgotten what my "personal best" in gluttony is, when it comes to Samosas. Probably eight or more in one sitting.
Is the dipping sauce, pictured, made from Coriander leaves? Looks luscious!

I hadn't heard of Vada Pav, so I did a Google search. Yummmm! :) I'd take one over the boring veggie burgers they serve in the States any day!
