CITY SWAPS

Yes, it's here Bangalore's all new sightseeing service - 'City Swaps' - is provided by a private company called Conceptree Enterprise. They claim to be 'India's FIRST hop on hop off tourism sightseeing service. The tickets are valid for 24 hours on any of the buses that ply every 30 minutes covering more than 15 tourist points in the city. One can get down any number of times on the route(s) or take as many rides on any of the buses. This provides a great deal of flexibility and customisation to suit individual preferences and tastes.

Some of the other highlights of the service include accessible seating for senior citizens and physically challenged persons on the lower deck, an on-board cafe, flexible ticketing for families, children and senior citizens. Besides this, City Swaps will also offer annual memberships to corporate houses and frequent visitors.

Oh this is such a wonderful service to the sight-seer, as well as to the city walker/shopper.

They are springing up all over the world now. The one in Sydney is great as you can go around the city centre, then it takes you to Bondi Beach etc. Didn't get around to trying the one out in Dubai. Maybe next time...

Hi - this is not a london bus being used, but the inspiration surely is from there. I myself have taken ride twice on the bus and it is an unforgettable experience. Considering the fact that it is an entrepreneurship venture of an ex IIT/IIM grad (refer to recent B'lore times article), it deserves a salute form the rest of us who have been provided this great opportunity in our own country
